Combat Corner #25: NXT Takeover: The End & UFC 199

This week, Combat Corner will be looking toward the future with previews of two major shows being the featured attractions.

UFC 199 takes place this Saturday night and will be headlined by two title bouts with Luke Rockhold defending the middleweight title against late-entrant Michael Bisping and Dominick Cruz defending the bantamweight title against Urijah Faber. The main card is also loaded with bouts that could be very exciting as well as what could be the last bout in the storied career of Dan Henderson.

NXT Takeover: The End is next week and it is shaping up to be potentially the best Takeover special yet. The main event is a rematch from WrestleMania weekend except this time it will be Samoa Joe defending the NXT championship when he faces Finn Balor, and this time it will be contested in a steel cage! Another WrestleMania Weekend rematch will be on this card when American Alpha defends the NXT tag belts against The Revival. It will be a battle of the titans for sure when Asuka defends the NXT women's title against Nia Jax. And to top it off, Shinsuke Nakamura and Austin Aries will go head-to-head in what is sure to be an instant match of the year candidate.
