Leading things off will be Tiffany Van Soest, the Muay Thai Kickboxing beauty who will face Lucy Payne this Friday night on the Lion Fight 15 card. This event is a very significant card for Lion Fight as it represents their first foray to the east coast after showcasing their previous 14 cards in Las Vegas. Van Soest and Payne have met once before back in July of last year at Lion Fight 10. Van Soest defeated Payne via first round TKO.
UFC Middleweight Luke Rockhold is coming off of two straight impressive 1st round victories. UFC lightweight James Krause will be facing Jamie Varner this weekend at UFC 173 in the first fight on the pay-per-view portion of the card. Krause is coming off a 3rd round loss to Bobby Green at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 in May.Before that, Krause had the performance of his career at UFC 161 in June of last year. Krause took home both the Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night honors when he tapped out Sam Stout with a guillotine choke in the third round.
This morning we move onto the Gospel account of Luke, his telling of the birth of Christ. I've always enjoyed reading through Luke - the parables that he tells from Jesus, the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son, I have always found good to review. Luke builds his gospel narrative on a foundation of historical reliability, emphasizing Jesus' ancestry, birth, and early life before moving chronologically through his ministry. We of course are going to focus on the telling of Christ's birth.
Of course, some more Christmas music, and some prayer time as well.
The Chrisrtmas story has not changed. Repeated, rehersed, renewed every year and still celebrated less then the material things the world has to offer. Why not spend a full day in church and celebrate Christ. Whose birthday is it anyway? What would happen if for once we spend a full day celebrating the blessing of family and friends and gifts and joys all weekend after that. A full day in church worshiping and praising, and sharing food and gifts and fellowship with the less fortunate. And so it happened at a church. three hundred homeless ,came and were blessed. it happened when my sis decided to take gifts to kids in a shelter. it happened I shopped for a doll a game and toy for a eight year old at a institution. and so it happened my niece family of nine are going to Fla compliments of a lot winner, All around the world. Someone thought of someone else for Chitmas. You are the church the world needs for Christmas. The point is be the Church and reach a heart. Luke one vs one
I was excited to see David Choe at my home church of First Baptist of Beverly Hills Dec. 24. He has made a huge impact on the art world. I will discuss his success and circle of influence within the history of our church. Jon and Bob join me to share their Christmas message and testimony on the life of Jesus and purpose of their faith.
In the current study, we delve into Luke 18, following our study of Chapter 17. This study, as was the previous chapter, focused on the coming ofhte kingdom of God.
The primary reason for introducing the parable was the expectation of the immediate arrival of the kingdom of God.
The context of the parable is the persecution the apostles would face leading up to the imminent coming of Christ resulting in the destruction of the temple.

A week from today, we'll know who's in the College Football Playoff's first semifinal games and who isn't. TCU's got a spot (maybe? possibly? I guess?) locked up if they can beat Iowa State, so we talk to Jamie Plunkett from Frogs O' War about how confident he is in TCU's position and what Gary Patterson will do if the Horned Frogs get left out. We also chat with Land-Grant Holy Land's Luke Zimmermann about Ohio State's chances and the inevitable dread that comes from facing Melvin Gordon.
