We are perfectly able to reclaim some of our inner space by refusing to play the Blame Game. It’s a no win situation. When we play the Blame Game, we produce feelings of anger, frustration, disappointment and sometimes, guilt. We have adverse physical reactions that stress our brains and bodies. We can end the game by taking responsibility – looking at our role in the situation and using our CTRL button instead of being in reaction. So, it’s not your fault that this or that happened. OK…how did you handle it?

What good is anger and frustration to you? They show up again and again to zap your energy and most of the time; they worsen an already tense situation. Do you know someone who is always going on at length about how they went off or got somebody told? Someone who takes pride in making cutting remarks and “getting people told”? Is this a person that exudes joy? Probably not. How does guilt enhance your inner strength? How often to you say or hear “I did this or that but I feel bad because…”.  When your energy is low, you are vulnerable to making choices that do not serve you. You cannot grow in anger, frustration or guilt.

Use your CTRL to learn from adversity, discomfort and unfairness. Stop the same anger producing situations from showing up again and again. Join the Divas to talk about how to stop playing the Blame Game and start taking responsibility.
