Was the genesis of Lance Armstrong’s drive for greatness sourced less from altruistic values and more from a desperation to escape his shadow side?  After a decade and a half, Lance Armstrong’s story has recently culminated in his crucifixion at the hands of his own self.  While his story of championships, cancer, fame, drugs, and lies appears to be very unique, from an energetic and psychological perspective his story perhaps represents the shadow that we all carry.

As Armstrong’s fall from greatness so powerfully teaches us, there is a shattering price to pay when we deny our shadow side characteristics.   Hurting others, creating deception, and betraying self are inevitable consequences of turning a blind eye to our shadow.  How can we find the sensitivity, beyond our judgment and ridicule, to learn about self through Armstrong’s grand stage shame so that we may live with greater integrity, meaning, and authentic largeness?

Join JP Sears and Karen Solt in this two part series on Learning from the Shadow Side of Lance Armstrong.  They’ll share commentary on archetypal principles active in Armstrong’s story for the purpose of self reflection.  You’ll be invited to consider how to find your suppressed shadow based on how you view and feel about Armstrong’s circumstances.  You’ll be challenged to ask yourself purposeful questions so you have the opportunity to intimately embrace your darker side.  Karen and JP will offer strategies to help you consciously integrate your shadow into a source of empowering illumination in your life.
