What Black Women Stand to Gain and Lose with Health Care Reform and When

With the 2010 Affordable Care Act, for the first time in our nation’s history, Black women will receive access to some preventative care services without copayments, deductibles and coinsurance payments

In 13 days on September 23, women will receive improved access to some preventive services and screenings. However, not all women are covered and not all states will honor the pre-existing condition insurance plan (PCIP).

Join this discussion on the Affordable Care Act and ask questions to find out what services are covered now, what will be covered later and what have we lost. Listen to the “Black Women’s Health Report,” on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at 3 p.m. EST on BlogTalkRadio.

Host Eleanor Hinton Hoytt will explore with a leading expert the impact of this milestone on the health of the Black women, what we can expect and how these provisions will improve our health.

This is a show that you will want to be a part of.

You can send in your questions prior to the show to asktheexpert@blackwomenshealth.org or you can get your questions answered live on the radio. Simply, call 646-381-4662 beginning at 3 p.m. EST.
