I revised this book since 1995 and I'm still not certain it says exactly what I want. Part of it is I have changed some of my beliefs the past five years while reading all tjhe books by new and old guard atheists and secular humanists. I don't believe atheism, agnosticism, or deism is for everyone just as specific religious beliefs attract different people. My goal is to give people ONE atheist's POV and offering a reasonable alternative to religious beliefs. However, I also want religious people (like my wife and family) to understand that I respect their beliefs and will never attack them. However, my premise is MUTUAL RESPECT, which means if someone attacks me he has negated the MUTUAL part and I will not disapear whimpering away. I will be as civil as he is - or as brutal! My goal is to find mutual areas of compromise with those who are religious and give additional strength to those who wish to live without the very real comforts of believing in a god.
I'll also discuss one review of the book.
Today I'll give you a view of the chapters and what I attempt. If you're interested, send me an email at email@example.com and for $5 i'll send you a PDF copy.
