Debbie and I were having a productive conversation when I accidentally cut her off, later she did the same.We had discovered many shared beliefs about education and relationships and I know this is a dialogue you will find useful whether you are a teacher or parent. We can all agree that we would love to one day see a peaceful world where war and poverty are just faint memories. So, how can we turn this dream into a reality?. Respected peace activist and Arizona native Debbie Jordan promotes the concept of peace and equality for all individuals in her exceptional book, The World I Imagine: A creative manual for ending poverty and building peace. She believes that people can put their differences aside and work together for a common good.  Most of her life, Jordan has been disabled. Poverty affected her. But, peace prevailed and she reveals her ideas for others to live as she does.  After quitting full-time work at a young age because of illness, Jordan continues to remain active as a volunteer. She developed many of her creative ideas by observing and studying on her own. She finally began to write about these things, first in novels beginning in the 1980s, and since 2000, in her newspaper column. She also blogs as the Phoenix Progressive Examiner at Examiner.com
