Hard Hits: Cubs take Game 1 over Giants 1-0

Hard Hits is live for a great 30-minutes from 12-12:30 AM on the East Coast. We are talking baseball. Lots of stuff to discuss including the Cubs 1-0 shutout win over the Giants in a classic Game 1 pitchers duel between winner Jon Lester and loser Johnny Cueto. Javier Baez' solo shot in the home eighth just cleared the wind at Wrigley. It proved to be the difference. Buster Posey came close to taking Aroldis Chapman yard but was left stranded when he got Hunter Pence to ground out to Baez to end a well pitched and defended game. 

Plus the Indians get a great performance from Corey Kluber, who easily outduels the awful David Price. Cleveland rocks as they go up 2-0 on the Red Sox. The Blue Jays go up 2-zip with Troy Tulowitzki staying hot. They take Game 2 5-3. The next two are at Toronto. Plus the Dodgers hold off the Nationals by a run. Kershaw and Scherzer weren't great. But Kershaw gets a win. LA leads 1-0
