Assuming, from a laypersons perspective, that psychoanalysis is the case study of unique mental conditions, psychotherapy is the study of theories of treatment for various mental conditions, and psychology is the study of the of the mind--how, then, are these forms of therapy used when addressing the needs of so-called minorities?
Or does minority therapy as a theoretic study even exist?
Wednesday's show will examne the psychosexual and psychosocial stages of human development, the collective unconscious,as well as the humanistic-existential model and various counseling therapeutic practices from an Africentric point of view.
