EPIS Radio Show Team
Join us for continued discussion regarding the phenomenological and psychoanalytic approaches to the question of authenticity
Join us for an exploration of the phenomenology of rage and violence with our host, Dr. Kevin Boileau. We will also consider an object relations approach to an etiological understanding of the emergence of destructive behavior.
Enjoy us for continuing exploration of the existential roots of violence within ourselves. We will study together the dialectic between the Apollinian and the DIonysian, the slave type and the master type, within each one of us. Let's figure out together the root causes of violence. Is it a fear of death? Is it our lack of control over the passing of time? Let's see.
Join us for some synthesizing musings about power, resentment, violence, and creativity as our host, Kevin Boileau, consides a number of points, issues, and comments on recent shows.
She overcame extreme mental illness related to childhood abuse and entered medical school while she was still in psychiatric treatment. A professional paper she wrote was arguably the basis for one of Freud's best known theories. And she was one of the earliest pioneers of child psychoanalysis but today, thanks to the film A Dangerous Method, she's known more for being the lover of Carl Jung. But there is so much more to Sabina Spielrein. She was also the first woman to write a psychoanalytic dissertation, and one of the first female psychoanalysts but her contributions were lost to history for many years. Join me as we explore the torrid and tragic life of Sabina Spielrein, one of the forgotten pioneers of psychoanalysis.
Join us for continued discussion between our host, Dr. Kevin Boileau, and our guest, Dr. Stephen Diamond. We will be pursuing questions about existential depth psychology, the possibilities for the transformation of violence into creativity and goodness, and additional questions about existential analysis and culture.
Join us for new discussion regarding power & violence, utilizing the tools of critical theory, psychoanalysis, and phenomenology
Join us for exciting and intriguing discussion with Chris Haley's commentary about Bourdieu's theories of power and violence. Not to be missed.
Enjoy this continuing discussion, which will focus on creativity and cultural transformation, in terms of the daimonic. We have enjoyed all prior discussions with Dr. Diamond, and look forward to this one, as well.
Join us for continuing conversation with Chris Haley, regarding a critical look at Pierre Bourdieu's views about power and violence. Chris Haley is a core member at the Existential Psychoanalytic Institute & Society, and post-graduate student in its program in existential psychoanalysis and critical theory.
