FREEMASONRY KNOWS

The Craft is the embodiment of ideas, great ideas.  It is the answer to the question. It knows us so deeply, so accurately, it anticipates conflicts and aggression. If you are intelligent, you will live a life learning how to understand slivers of information. And by doing that, you will learn to side-step cruelty, hypocracy, the baser instincts of a man while still contributing to brotherhood.  Freemasonry teaches us what to do and how to do it- if we are able to pick up the tools.  Follow the truth. The truth is that mankind has always believed for every question there is an answer even when there are questions we cannot answer. Think for a moment- what word have we lost?  Why can we not know that truth?  Fear or wisdom? Are we sure we want the answer we seek? Are we sure we can live with ourselves, with that knowledge? Wasn't Abiff attacked? Wasn't the great ideal, overwhelmed by conspirators wanting something he held?  When we cannot uniformly judge candidates, the West Gate opens to all. And when talent isn't there, when they outnumber the wise among us, they fear what they do not understand.  Freemasonry is hard to understand. It takes work, and we know we are too lazy and taught that self-care is selfish, to embrace mindfulness, the mitochondria.  Self-awareness is not hidden until we hide it from ourselves. Meanwhile keeping our head in the game is easier if we followed a simple, sophistication.  Audi. Vide. Tace. si vi viverer in pace.  But that takes courage.And that takes humility.  Such amazing ideas. Such amazing men.
