Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe-Award winner Ben Vereen has deeply touched millions of lives through his strong sense of social consciousness.  He recently founded The Ben Vereen Awards and Wellness Through the Arts, an organization benefitting young people across America by encouraging the use of performing arts as a foundation for a healthier lifestyle. His humanitarian efforts have earned him a number of awards including Israel's Cultural and Humanitarian Awards, three NAACP Image Awards, an Eleanor Roosevelt Humanitarian Award, a Victory Award, and a host of others.
