We'll also discuss his beliefs in the paranormal and his years of public service.Devoting more than 21 years of active service to the New York City Police Department, retired Homicide Detective Steve DiSchiavi is now lending his expertise to a new Travel Channel series, The Dead Files. Based on the powerful premise that every property has a story to be told, Steve, alongside physical medium, Amy Allan, combine their unique skills to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America.

Following his retirement from the NYPD, Steve worked as a Senior Investigator of Merrill Lynch’s Fraud Department. Steve is currently a Special Investigator for the city of New York and is a licensed New York State Private Investigator and a licensed Armed Guard. He also owns his own Private Investigation Company, Paragon Investigations.
