    in Paranormal

For millennia, it has waited for its story to be told. On Sunday August 24th, Len and JC will satisfy the silent bidding of the beast.... MEGALODON! They will have a new series dealing with the field of Cryptozoology. Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience involving the search for animals whose existence has not been proven. The animals cryptozoologists study are often referred to as cryptids, a term coined by John Wall in 1983.

Lurking Creatures: Talking Cryptozoology With Robin Bellamy

    in Paranormal

Join ParaNation Radio as Alex Matsuo interviews Robin Bellamy and picks her brain about cryptozoology.  She is the primary blogger for the Centre for Fortean Zoology-Canada.

Robin was born in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the early 1960's and lived for many years in nearby Ravenswood. Robin found herself living in Toronto, Canada in 2000.  Through a series of unusual events, she became a member of Toronto Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society and added paranormal research to her resume.  Robin has served that organization as a Director and its parent organization PSICAN (Paranormal Studies and Investigations Canada) as a board member, Director of Cryptozoology, and Chief Financial Officer.  Since leaving those posts in 2012 she continues to consult with film, television, and other media writers.

Robin has published "Haunt Cuisine"; an eclectic collection of recipes and attendant ghost stories from North America.  Each recipe is simple and each story researched and presented from witness reports.  Her sophomore book entitled "Haunted Hospitality" is the historical account of the ghosts of the Lowe Hotel in Point Pleasant.  "Haunt Cuisine" and Robin's publications can be found at www.amazon.com.  Robin was featured in the Canadian press junket for the film "White Noise", on camera work for SyFy Investigates and Freak Encounters, does script and technical consulting, and speaks often at seminars and festivals as well as college campuses.  She recently appeared in the documentary "30 Ghosts", due to be released April 25, 2012.  Her experience as a radio personality in West Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina provide her with a good working knowledge of the press and an easy rapport with all audiences.

Robin is currently working Xenoforensics, a guidebook for using forensic science in paranormal research.

April 22, 2015 10pm PDT- North American Bigfoot Search w/ Scott Carpenter

    in Paranormal

Scott is about to head into the field to search for Bigfoot. He's coming to tell us all about the prep, the trip, and the hope for discovery of a very controversial creature. He says: "I had my first experience with Bigfoot in 1972-1973 when two juvenile hairy bipeds peered at me through a glass door. In the Spring of 2009 I made some half hearted “whooping” calls while fishing on a local lake. The calls got the attention of something large, loud, and intimidating. It came to the shore line crashing through the underbrush and breaking limbs. Though the unseen creature never showed itself it did make an audible "hmmph" before walking slowly back into the forest.  This peaked my interest in the topic. I began researching Bigfoot/Sasquatch both on public lands and in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.In February of 2011 I joined North American Bigfoot Search (NABS) and I have contributed many hair and saliva samples to the "Ketchum" DNA Project."
