The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a Christian life according to Paul the Apostle in his Letter to the Galatians: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." What is really lacking in the body of Christ today, is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. NO JOKE! That has to be why GOD placed in HIS word, "you will know them by their fruit that they have love one for another." That is the only word declared from GOD that we are known by. We can be FRUIT INSPECTORS.Galatians 5:22-24But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. Love being the First Fruit, f you are lacking that then you are lacking all the rest listed in the Bible. FRUIT being singular means that there is ONE fruit we are commanded by GOD to have in order for all the other fruits to dwell in us and eminate from us and that is the FRUIT OF LOVE. One fruit, LOVE holds all the other fruits in it. We must have that One Fruit to freely and easily walk in the Fruit of the Spirit.23-24 Legalism is helpless in bringing this about; it only gets in the way. Among those who belong to Christ, everything connected with getting our own way and mindlessly responding to what everyone else calls necessities is killed off for good—crucified. The opposite leads to unfruitfulness, unkindness, no joy, no peace, no long-suffering! Amen!
