In this episode of Gamification Talk Radio, we’ll be discussing Is it a Good Idea to Add Serious Games to Your Corporate Training? You may be surprised by the answer!

Serious learning games represent unchartered territory for most training departments – and there’s not much available information to go on. The market is still too young to easily find case studies or best-practice advice.  

Because game-based learning is relatively new to managers and learners, it’s imperative to have a well-thought out implementation plan. On this week’s program, Carol and I will discuss how to:

  • Set expectations and benefits for the learning
  • Build excitement and collaboration among participants
  • Check in on experiences and progress
  • Anchor learning application to job roles
  • Collect data, feedback, and anecdotes that yield insight into achievement of the learning   outcomes

About Carol D. Clark:  Carol’s background includes teaching in both the public and private sectors, working with adolescents and adult learners. She has designed and developed course materials and conducted workshops for clients on topics ranging from blended learning, total quality management tools, team process improvement and solution selling.

In addition to teaching, facilitation, and course development her experience includes sales and sales management, project management training and development consulting and speaking at national conferences including ASTD.
