Obviously the gun debate is not going to go away in this country any time soon. With the shooting not only at Sandy Hook in December but numerous others as well, our nation has had to grieve and bury loved ones too many times. President Obama has signed 23 executive orders on the issue ranging from background checks to mental health awareness to better equipping schools, churches, and the like to deal with the threat. Senator Feinstein again is bring an assault weapons ban bill to the Senate as well.
But are executive orders and legislation really the answer? Do we have a gun problem, or do we have a culture problem? Should our "right to bear arms" extend to weapons of war, as some like to say? Is this a government trying to protect us? Or is it a government trying to control us? Or is the answer, somewhere in between?
I won't pretend to have all the answers, but hopefully we can address some key questions. Join me for Guns:Our Rights And Our Culture on American Faith Today.
