DRESSING IN GOD’S DESIGNER WORD
Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

when people wake up in the morning, one of the first questions they ask themselves is, “What should I wear today?” Have you asked yourself that question? I ask myself the same about dressing in God’s word daily. I start my morning out with prayer at 7:15-7:30 dressing in His word.
You may be guilty of it, too –– standing in front of your closet for what seems like a lifetime, agonizing over which outfit will look the best, convey the right message or hide those extra pounds.
God designed His word just for us, uniquely designed for us to wear.  I was  intrigued by the internal process that influenced dressing behaviors (shopping, putting together an outfit, storing, wearing, not wearing.

if you are well-dressed, you are going to feel better about yourself. I was taught this by the Late Missionary Mae Lois Monroe.  I think it is more important to analyze the internal reasons we are not dressing successfully in the first place. If we can identify why we are not enhancing the self externally, we can make those internal changes, which leads to successful dressing.  So when we dress in God’s word each morning, we feel better about our day.
PRAYER: LORD! Teach us how to dress in your word, In Jesus name, Amen.
