Sherri ScottNovoa Inspirational Speaker, Performer and Writer Sherri ScottNovoa is an Inspirational Speaker that utilizes life experience, explosive charisma and humor to explain methods and strategies on finding the greatness within and how to keep it moving in the roughest of times. At 16, ScottNovoa was a victim of gang violence. Her desire to overcome other horrific experiences plus low self-esteem, a speech impediment and constant reminders that she’d never achieve any measure of success sparked a 20-year journey of self-discovery and a commitment to motivating and entertaining people around the country. Sherri is also a Stroke Survivor. Surviving a mild stroke in 2005; Sherri is an outspoken health advocate. High Blood Pressure a conditions she lives with is one of many issues she strives to bring awareness to. “Conversations With Sherri” “Conversations With Sherri,” is an inspirational CD that empowers, vents, and soothes. It’s a conversation piece, which provokes discussion, debate and introspective thinking about relationships, self-esteem, domestic violence and self awareness. Utilizing poetry, music and age old-wisdom, topics include: Celebration of Self, Taking Control of Your Life, and making the transition from Victim to Survivor. Other Projects ScottNovoa has worked in film and television, including Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS), Boycott (HBO Production), Boomerang (20th Century Fox), A Different World (NBC Cosby Production), and NYPD Blue (ABC Production). Sherri's resume also includes her one-woman show, Conversations With Sherri, as well as her own radio talk show, Don't Let the Dream Die, WZAM in Virginia Beach. In addition to the CD, ScottNovoa has a novel and a children book in progress. She’s also been honored with several Humanitarian, Honorarium Awards and other honors.
