  This discussion will take you through steps and questions useful in designing a dynamic, results-producing workshop. This discussion is for entrepreneurs, small business owners, consultants, and coaches.

   

  Sandra A. Daley's Bio:
   

  Sandra is a coach and speaker. She also designs and facilitates empowerment workshops. Her primary clients are women and artists, focusing on life-work balance and entrepreneurship.
   
  Sandra has spent 20 years working as an acclaimed professional actress. She is soon to work on Broadway in "The Miracle Worker". It is evident in her confident persona, her ability to work in synergy with different types of people, and that she understands and can relate to different points of view. Being an actress has served her in leading a group, in using narratives as a learning tool, and sharing the therapy available in the art of drama and creativity. She is a consummate griot and storyteller.
  

  Sandra has also worked with women in several capacities including an educator, counselor/facilitator, and for the past six years a certified life and career coach. She received Life and Career Coach training from the Life Purpose Institute in San Diego, California and was trained to counsel blended families by the Step Family Foundation. She had a brief but insightful time working with couples through the Mars and Venus Counseling Center.

  Eric Hamilton is an internet, web, search marketing and social media veteran with over 20 years of technology work experience. Currently, Eric works for Yahoo! as an Engagement Manager supporting Yahoo! Web Analytics which is Yahoo's enterprise level analytics solution. In addition, Eric consults Yahoo! clients such as BlackBerry, Verizon Travel, Bank of America, Disney, GM,Southwest Airlines and Pepsi on measuring the effectiveness of social media traffic from Yahoo! micro-sites. www.web.analytics.yahoo.com/

  
  Recently, Eric founded The Web Academy, a 501c3 non profit organization designed to provide free web design classes to the community and free web services to churches and other non profit organizations. The Web Academy recently developed an iPhone traffic updates application for the NYC Big City Apps Contest.   With guest and author Ytasha L. Womack Post Black: How a New Generation is Redefining African American Identity, is a proactive examination of how a new generation of African Americans are dispelling the myths of current, popular black identity. Highlighting specific socioeconomic and cultural trends, Post Black examines the new dynamics affecting African American Life, contending that politicians, social advocates and average citizens are focused on how African Americans were defined 50 years, 25 years or even a decade ago but not on who they are now or who they are becoming. The America of the 21st century is a diverse America, and Post Black is a provocative account of how a new generation is redefining African American Identity. This will be great intellectual discussion to be sure. Ytasha is author of the upcoming book Post Black: How a New Generation Redefines African American Identity (Lawrence Hill Books, January 2010). She's directing the sexy romantic comedy The Greatest Love Story Never Told this winter in Hawaii. Ytasha edited the anthology Beats Rhymes and Life: What We Love and Hate About Hip Hop with Kenji Jasper. Other works include her directorial debut The Engagement and Love Shorts. An editor for NV Magazine, her work has appeared in numerous publications including Upscale, VIBE, Essence and The Chicago Tribune, and The Chicago Defender.

  Extra Effort Forum CD Listening Session with Songtress Wendy Moten

  As an extra treat for the Extra Effort Forum Listeners, the beauty songtress Wendy Moten will come and share songs from her new christmas cd "Tis The Season". Wendy Moten has recorded three solo albums and several singles. Blessed with a fluid, stylish voice, the Memphis-born chanteuse started her career with the Billboard hit ballad, Come In Out Of The Rain. Wendy’s self-titled debut EMI release also included up tempo tracks, Step By Step and Nobody But You. Shortly after, Wendy was selected as opening act for Michael Bolton’s North American tour and Freddie Jackson’s European tour. A year later, Wendy was the toast of Japan when she performed at a sold-out showcase held at the famed Budokan, hosted by Grammy-award winning producer David Foster.In 1995, Wendy released her second EMI album TIME FOR CHANGE, produced by David Foster and Michael Powell. Popular cuts included Forever Yours and Your Love Is All I Know. After receiving rave U.S. reviews, Wendy’s music became one of Japan’s best selling albums in 1995. Wendy recorded the GRAMMY nominated single, Whatever You Imagine, for the animated film, The Pagemaster, starring Macauley Caulkin. Wendy’s third solo album, LIFE’S WHAT YOU MAKE IT, reflected her diverse musical taste and provided an opportunity to express concerns of racial and social intolerance. Subways Are For Sleeping and her cover of the Rascals classic, People Got To Be Free are excellent examples of talent with a conscience. Alongside her solo albums, Wendy has recorded duets with Michael McDonald, No Love To Be Found; and with Peabo Bryson, My Gift Is You. She was also a featured artist on Larry Carlton’s CD, I Still Believe. Wendy’s most recognizable accomplishment, is her recording of the Stevie Wonder hit, All I Do which appears on GRAMMY-award winning saxophonist, Kirk Whalum’s CD, For You, produced by Paul Brown.
