I learned many things from my parents including a love for gardening. As I settle into a new place to live I am thinking of how to bring nature into my apartment. When I started school my parents told me that school was my full time work and my responsibility to do the best that I could. I carried that lesson with me wherever I go. I have learned the heartaches of not taking care of myself physically, spiritually or emotionally. It has been hard to out that aside, but I have started that process. I have discovered the joy and blessings of taking care of me. I have a desire to do what I can to heal myself physically, spiritually and emotionally. Now I am releasing my creativity and talents that my creator has blessed me with and seeking a better life style. I am painting with acrylics, writing, and thinking what is yet to come and added knitting just for fun. My soul enjoys every minute. In school I learned American Indians were savages. In 1995 I began to find out differently as I researched ancestors. I spent hours researching my ancestors using Ancestry.com for documentations and viewing the microfilms at the National Archives of Genealogy in Washington D.C. I have traced my Cherokees to 1741 before the Revolutionary War. King George III and the military of the British government were courting the Cherokees to fight with them. Throughout the conflict. I had to read this part of the book many times to fully understand what was being said. I often live share my knowledge and love for others. This is my reason for being here. I am now living in a place that encourages me to be active in social and creative activities yet we are supportive of each other and respectful of privacy. I am inspired to improve my abilities in writing, painting and listening to a higher level.The New Year approaching is enticing.
