Today I speak with John Latham, Ph.D

John has been leading a team of physicists and engineers from around the world on mitigation for Global Warming called Cloud Brightening, an idea which John proposed in Nature journal in 1990. 

Articles about their work have appeared in many popular and scientific magazines, including Scientific American, The New York Times and The Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, in which Isaac Newton published his world-shattering papers 350 years ago.

There have been a number of interviews of the team members on TV and radio, in several countries. The work has received strongly positive responses internationally (via conferences, workshops, seminars etc) and it has been the subject of three TV documentaries (BBC, National Geographic and Discovery Channel).

The UK Royal Society conducted a thorough survey of all geo-engineering schemes, and theirs was one of only two global cooling techniques recommended for support.

John is also a published author, poet and playwright, with 4 full collections of poetry published, 10 stories broadcast on BBC national radio, 3 full length plays broadcast on BBC radio and a novel published in 2004. 

John and I will be speaking about both of these expressions and John will share a few of his literary pieces.
