Rush Limbaugh compares the Democrats to being sanctioning terrorists. Sarah Palin's haunting "reload" statement comes home to roost, and face an even harsher scrutiny; she's now in the cross hairs of society even more than before.

There might be some truths in the statements by Limbaugh, Palin, and the extreme right, which have had an impact on people, whether subtle, emotional, or more forthright. It's also fair to say that most normal people do not go on shooting rampages because their professors don't speak perfect grammar, as Arizona shooter Jared Loughner stated in past rants.

So the questions then become about how influential political discourse on the masses can be and who does it affect the most? When politicians fight in such a big and extreme way like putting rifle cross hairs on the other party's members, perhaps sometimes we should not be surprised when their constituents become just as extreme.
