The concept of the “Asafo”, originating from the people of Ghana, means warrior people.   The terms “Asa” meaning war and “fo” meaning people.  Therefore when combined the terms “Asa”  and “fo” mean warrior scholars.   The Asafo used their intellect and scholarship to inform and protect their community from outsiders who came to invade their land.   Therefore, ANU Asafo welcomes you to learn about scholarship and strategies for your community.

The Enlightenment and Transformation network show, ANU Asafo is a show where Pan-Afrikanism meets Afrikan traditional spirituality and is hosted by students of the ANU Spiritual Order, as well as parented by Chief Jegna H. Yuya Assaan ANU.  ANU Asafo delves into various topics, and interviews a wide variety of guests that deliver information that is pertinent and vital to the spiritual community such as “Grounding and Spirituality” and “Energy and healing”.

Join us this Sunday as we discuss the transformation through knowledge with the creator of the Facebook page  "The Yoruba Society", Esu Shango.
