Special Guest: Cat Barnard, Working the Future and Sian Fording, EFS Core Team

Join us as we discuss the Engage for Success "One Change" project, which is an idea that crystallised following this year's Engage for Success conference.

Inspired by both the great content  and the surrounding conversations that took place on the day, Cat Barnard and Sian Fording decided they wanted to maintain the momentum.

They've been out and invited the keynote speakers from the event to think about one change they'd make to workplaces to drive employee engagement.

You can see the results of their work on the website and their goal is that these video clips inspire the wider Engage for Success community to implement small and simple changes within their work environments to improve engagement.

Cat spent over 20 years in the technology staffing and recruitment field, prior to setting up Working the Future. Her experiences in recruitment gave her a detailed picture of why organisations sometimes fail to retain staff, and this inevitably and predominantly leads back to a failure to engage employees. Working the Future specialises in helping business leaders adapt to increasingly disruptive and challenging commercial environments and focuses particular effort on helping leaders understand the importance of employee engagement in driving business success.

Sian joined EFS in February 2017 as Content Curator and is leading on setting up the ‘Virtual Content Team'. She was on secondment from Academi Wales, Welsh Government, and now continues as an EFS volunteer coordinating the EFS Wales TAG activity. Sian has a passion for excellent digital communications and believes sharing stories and information is an important part of improving leadership, employee engagement and the world of work!
