This second part of the first broadcast topic of 2012 Eliska will discuss new years resolutions-why do we make them and why do we break them? What is are some steps we can each take to make keeping those resolutions...whatever they may be?   You can also call in and share your new year resolutions for 2012 LIVE at 646-200-0114!!   We will also take a special look at making a resolution to leave your abuser if you are in an emotionally, physically, mentally, or financially abusive relationship.  Eliska will discuss how to make a practical safety plan, how to develop an emergency escape kit, who needs to know and who doesn't need to know, and how to maintain your safety and the safety of your children.  Statistically, leaving your abuser can be one of the most dangerous times for a victim, but staying with your abuser can be even more dangerous in the long term, for you, your children and future generations of your family.  The NCADV (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence) states the witnessing violence between one's parents or caretakers is the strongest risk factor of transmitting violent behavior from one generation to the next.  Make 2012 the year we work together to get you or someone you know out of a life of abuse and domestic violence and let's be part of the solution and break the cycle for the next generation.  Let's make this year count!  Join in the discussion and call in with your questions and concerns-LIVE- on the next episode of "Speak Out LOUD with Eliska Hahn" only on BlogTalkRadio!
