Listening to many talk about “back in the day” how it was, seeing men in the community take a stand, serve as role models, move into their roles as elders to convey rites of passage and wisdom for succeeding generations, I reflected back on the work that Brothers Jamal, Dawn Wolf, Eric, myself and others have been engaged in during our work in the juvenile detention facility. The youth, primarily 14-17 years old, talk of no fathers in the home, the absence of positive role models in the community, men who would meet you face to face, man to man, to help you during your journey of life – are not there. The confusion that exists among many regarding what they need to know and what they need to do sparked this weeks’ show. For if to know is to be and to be is to do…what is it that most men don’t know and how can we remove the ignorance so that the contributions that are long overdue are added to the mix? FEATURED GUESTS: Almas J. Sami' is a Motivational Speaker, Author & Founder of Sohaja Publishing & Lecturing Company, LLC. Join us as Gregory adds to the mix with his blend of creativity and the significance of being a man, and Elder today. INVITE MEN YOU KNOW TO LISTEN IN AND SHARE THEIR INSIGHTS. ~PEACE
