THE SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT'S ASSOCIATION, AASA ...

TAKING IT TO CAPITOL HILL with Superintendents Josh Starr, Montgomery County (MD) Public Schools; Patrick Murphy, Arlington County (VA) Public Schools; and Jose Torres, School District U-46, (ILL). Superintendents from some of the nation’s highest-performing schools are calling on Members of Congress to establish a new approach for the next generation of school accountability. In forming a network, or “consortium,” these school system leaders brought their proposal to Capitol Hill earlier this month to share their vision with elected officials in an effort to improve federal education policy.
