How do we support our friends? We know what the REAL problems are. It's the simple things in life. Do we berate the Moms we know who try to find something else to do to pass the time until they see their children again? Or do we support them?

Do we kick them when they're down? Or do we support them?

Do we try to encourage them to follow other pursuits, or do we malign the Moms we know who are trying to pick up the pieces in some small way and do some little thing that's constructive?

Is this a time to be resentful because someone is trying something you never wanted to try? Or is this a time to give your unyielding support? Isn't that what parenting is? What does it mean to mother? What kind of mothers ARE we?

The answer to that question may be in how we support our friends. What if that's an indication of what kind of parents we REALLY are? Please call in.
