The duality of existence begins with breathing. With every breath, we take in life and avoid death; we allow oxygen in and let out carbon dioxide to survive. The joyful inhale and the relieving exhale represent a continuous transformation of energy which without it we are lifeless; yet, most of us take our breathing for granted. We often forget the direct relationship between correct breathing and living a healthy life.
Our physical need for oxygen also triggers our emotional and mental needs for survival and safety. In order to stay in a state of relaxation and comfort we are required to self-regulate and maintain an appropriate physiological rhythm. Breathing is the most basic element in self-regulation but since we take it as granted, it has become the least taught movement in our physical education. Breathing’s vital influence in reducing stress, pain, and suffering needs to be discussed in more medical aspects of any treatment.
Join Dr. Sadigh on A Moment with Self and find out how “Breathing Heals”. There are many ways to bring balance to your body and with different breathing techniques you can create tremendous relief of anxiety and stress symptoms.  Dr. Sadigh’s special guest, Mrs. Diva Yazdian, is the founder of Transformational Breathing and Healing. She is a Certified Transformational Breath™ Facilitator and Energy Healer, trained by Dr. Judith Kravitz a leading world expert in breath-work at Transformational Breath School. Mrs. Yazdian explains how breathing can ease up the subconscious defense mechanisms that hold on to the unpleasant emotions. Proper breathing increases love, joy and overall well-being.
