Hip-Hop has been one of the fastest-growing musical genre's since the onset of rock 'n roll. It has it's own language, it's own fashion, and it's own issues.

The effect it has had on recent generations is undeniable. Some would say that it's been quite negative in several aspects as it pertains to youth. The increase in gangs, violence, and sexual promiscuity have all been targeted as being spurred by the Hip-Hop Culture. Parents, school officials, clergy and law enforcement have all been sounding the alarm that something must be done to reach our youth in a way that is relevant and resounding.

My guest today knows first-hand about the negative side to Hip-Hop. Tune in to hear the compelling story of how Troy Evans, author of the new book, "The Edge of Redemption," and pastor of The EDGE Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan found the redemptive love of God and how it rescued him from almost certain destruction.
