On Thursday, 7/7/11 at 1:00 p.m. The Dr. Monique Akassi's Paradigm Shift Show is pleased to announce that Professor Paula Ashe, author and educator, will be our guest for the first show to launch next week regarding the controversial debate--should the African American Vernacular English (Ebonics) Be Accepted In Schools Today? Professor Ashe is also the author of  "Power. Language, and Identity: Signification in The Works of Geneve Smitherman," a chapter in the forthcoming anthology, Postcolonial Composition Pedagogy: Using The Culture of Marginalized Students To Teach Writing.

Dr. Monique Akassi's Paradigm Shift  will air every Thursday, beginning 7/7/11  at 1:00 p.m. The show will serve as a forum for educators, writers, & artist.Topics will focus on controversial issues on a local, national,& a global level regarding education for students, the teachers, parents, and society at large.
