Capitalism has effected the African American since our arrival in the New World. It shape the instution of slavery. It drove Reconstruction policies. It continues to help grow and oppress the African American. We have made it work for us and it has worked against us. So in keeping with the Black History month theme, Down South and Dirty is going to talk Capitalism and The Black Community. How savy business men and women have shape our economy. How we as consumers have driving this economy and the historical points of intrest that have made our community what is today. From Madame CJ Walker to Oprah we will look at this subject the way you know and expect from Down South and Dirty.
