The Don S. McClure Show -GROWTH is the sign of success, effort, and direction.
Does working hard pay off with measured success?

The question or advice and conversations come up daily, with different views of success. Some say by cash levels
others say by showable material items where they can display to the world look at me and what I got. Some say success is completing an act, promise, or service provided. The problem is with the measurement of the word success. So, knowing that success is seen and valued on an individual basis and not on society's voices, one can determine what success means to them.   A simple view is:
The focus of Taoism is on the individual within the natural realm rather than the individual within society; accordingly, the goal of life for each individual is seeking to adjust oneself and adapt to the rhythm of the natural (and the supernatural) world, to follow the Way of the universe, and to live in harmony.

For many of its adherents, Taoism was a complement to their ordered daily lives. For example, a scholar serving as an official would usually follow Confucian teachings, but at leisure or in retirement, might seek harmony with nature as a Taoist recluse.
