All That Jazz Now! Artist Conversations Miles Davis The DSM Show

A son knows better more between them speaking out.
I have heard so many things about this man called Miles Davis, and I have read a great deal more than what I have heard from amazing artists such as my brother Marvin. He was a Jazz artist himself while playing drums, which I admired his zeal for his choice of instrument.

He often played tracks by Miles as well as many of the other jazz icons like Sonny Stitt, John Coltrane, and he was especially driven in music by the great Thelonious Monk.   So yes, I heard a lot about Miles and his style. But not until recently have I listen to the words of his son, which I knew nothing about, but his words seem so sincere as he described how he felt about his father.  The interview is not long, but I learned a few more things about this man that influenced so many artists, those who knew and those unknown to him, like my brother Marvin who I admired watching him play drums.   I could talk about all the other things people have said about Miles and told others it was gospel what they knew.  But as a son of an amazing man myself, in my eyes, I could understand how his son Erin found something that touched him from his father Miles, their interest in music.

The info track is only 2. minutes and 44 seconds worth listening to on the Don S. McClure Show All That Jazz Now Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM - 9:00 Feb 10, 2021
