Traditional African Spirituality, Voodoo, Ifa!

Traditional African Spirituality.  Does Revolution and Voodoo go hand in. 

How does Ifa, Voodoo and Icon answer the needs of the people?  Or, should I phase the question differently ? Is it possible for these spiritual practices to have been in demand for over decades of time had there not have been such a real genuine need for there services?

Does the practice of African Tradition serve the purpose of healing?  

Finally, can Traditional African religion be removed from  history.
