The happy healthcare host, Mr. Divabetic shines the spotlight on Kim Boykin, the author of ‘THE WISDOM OF HAIR’ and Chef Robert Lewis aka ‘the Happy Diabetic.’

Kim Boykin is a Southern women's fiction author, accomplished public speaker and serves on the board of the South Carolina Writer's Workshop. Kim Boykin’s first novel, THE WISDOM OF HAIR, is the story of a young woman, Zora Adams  from a tiny South Carolina town who escapes an impoverished background to find her calling in beauty school – doing hair, and along the way discovers what real love is and what it’s not from a quirky community of lovable women. She also comes to learn that few things are permanent in this life—except real love, lasting friendship, and, ultimately… forgiveness.

Plus, we test Kim’s Foodie IQ during our Serve, Taste or Trash! Game segment featuring three of Chef Robert Lewis’s delicious recipes. Tune in to find out if Kim’s able to ‘trash’ the recipe with the highest amount of carbohydrates.

Chef Robert Lewis aka ‘The Happy Diabetic’ graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and is living with type 2 diabetes. Whether you are newly diagnosed, or a veteran diabetic, Chef Robert offers you many fabulous, good-tasting, and healthy foods you can (and should) eat in his The Happy Diabetic Simply Desserts and Get Happy, Get Healthy cookbooks.

Mr. Divabetic is the host of Diva Talk Radio, a WEGO Health Activist  Awards Nominee and the executive director of Divabetic. President Barack Obama, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter have acknowledged Divabetic for it’s dedication and determination on behalf of the diabetes community.
