Michael Hollauf
Founder and CMO

Michael Hollauf is one of the founders of MindMeister and is responsible for the company's Marketing and front-end Product Management. Michael's career began after successfully completing his advanced science degree in Telematics, awarded by the University of Technology, Graz, in March 1998. Prior to establishing MindMeister, Michael spent three years in Munich and five years in the UK, working at the London Hyperwave office as Director Product Marketing, overseeing strategic product planning of the company's web-based Enterprise Content Management solutions. While concentrating on external product development projects, Michael recognised the potential of outsourcing to Eastern Europe and decided to establish his own company with his long-term friend and colleague Till. This was the birth of Codemart, which was later renamed to MeisterLabs.

The two founders Michael Hollauf and Till Vollmer set out to create an new kind of mind mapping application, one that leverages the benefits of visual thinking and combines them with the new "SaaS" delivery paradigm (SaaS stands for Software as a Service). Once your productivity application is in the cloud you are not bound anymore to your desktop computer, you can support real-time collaboration and be open to other web services. MeisterLabs' vision is to capitalize on the power of visual thinking and cloud computing to support creativity and innovation across businesses and academic organizations.
