Kerri is a Kinesiology and Applied Health student living on the Canadian Prairies. Creator of the term 'badassmatic', she lives with asthma and a strong desire to own chronic disease. Though a big fan of the Diabetes Online Community, Kerri does not have diabetes.

In addition to work and school, she was a 2012 Stanford Medicine-X ePatient scholarship recipient, and is a volunteer with the Asthma Society of Canada as a member of the National Asthma Patient Alliance Executive Committee. Within both academics and advocacy, she has special interest in exercise and chronic disease, as well as how chronic disease impacts adolescents . . . but mostly, how we can impact our own stories through perspective and positivity in spite of diagnosis.
