Good morning and welcome go Get Healthy Now. Today's topic is about Relationships, Love and how to Improve Them. Have you ever been in a relationship or in love with someone? How did that make you feel? What did you learn? What would you change?

My name is Denise Thomson and I've been in a relationship for almost 42 years, married for 41 years now and loving my husband more and deeper by the day. People ask me: "How have you been able to make it for so long? What are you doing that makes your marriage work? Is every day a day from heaven? Have you ever thought about walking out or getting a divorce?".... Well, the last question is not really the answer to our relationship, but obviously, neither of us has walked out on the other one or filed for divorce. If you do the math you can figure out that we've been married for over 360,000 hours, since we dated first to get to know each other.

Here are some personal actions we take to make our love and relationship long lasting: Never go to bed angry. Say I love you daily and mean it. Listen carefully when the other one is talking. Don't interrupt. Hold hands. Give each other a kiss daily. Go exercise together. Watch a movie together. Talk about it during commercials (mute the TV) or after the movie is over. Respect one another. Do an act of kindness for one another. Find ways to support one another, emotionally, physically, financially.
