THE GREATES GIFTS...Our life expresses through us, else how could we live?
Gifts given and received are great. But mor than the material gifts we give or receive are the greater gifts of THOUGHT! These are the gifts that can't be purchased, wrapped or tied up with a fancy bow. Yet, think on this, the gift(s) of THOUGHT can be the most meaningful and fruitful of any gifts we either give or receive.
Materal gifts wear out, lose value to us and are often discarded. But THOUGHTS...
Sharing gifts with others...etc.
You have something wonderful to give...etc.
Gifts of value...etc.
Give your GREATEST GIFT-YOURSELF...etc.
Commentary on Derek Prince's book introduction chapter on the Holy Spirit Gifts. Some believe the gifts stopped with the apostles deaths, but there is evidence long after they died of the gifts moving in the church. This is merely an introduction to the main gifts of the Spirit of God. Discussion of why the gifts are given, to whom they are given and character that is important in administering the gifts. There are ministry gifts that are people gifted to the body, and there are supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit to demonstrate His love and power to the lost.
Often times when thinking of gifts, the musical gift of singing or even playing an instrument comes to mind. Even speaking in tongues or prophesying may come to mind but we are all made differently in God's image so we have specific gifts to fulfill HIS plan for our lives. What You enjoy doing the most is often times what You were made to do. Also, there are gifts hidden in us that needs to come out that we may have not thought of. If You are stuck in knowing Your gifts, this show is definitely for You!!! This show will empower You to know Your Gifts and stay in Your lane!

Greetings! Join me, Doctor Dayciaa Smith, for a happy holiday episode of Divine Experience on Sunday, December 6, 2015 @ 5:00 p.m. CST. I'l give personal updates, talk about P.O.I.s for the week and outline a process for grading ourselves on our discipleship report cards as it relates to our personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our focal topic for today is "Spendthrift Spiritual Gifts for the Holidays," so if you're low on finances--and we all usually are--then you may still bless someone with a magnificent present that can minister to them as well. Tune in for this fantastic show!
Gifts given to us!
Ephesians 4:1-32 (KJV)
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Are you compulsively diving off the cliff that your credit card has created for you? Are you hooked by the subliminal buying fever permeating the airwaves of your life with the "I want to shop, don't stop me" mantra? Is this compelling mantra pushing through your psyche and making you open you wallet again and again for your illusory golden-egg credit card?
Are any of your relationships suffering over gifting expectations that are silently conflicted by the ensuing debt that will follow? If so, you are not alone.
You may be silently bearing this burden in your heart as something "no nice person" would be feeling. But that feeling is marketing with its emotional blackmail being expertly aimed at your unresolved conflicts.
And its impression of 'got-to give' is amping up any guilt and shame you don't consciously understand but will most unconsciously feel.
How can you deny those you love all the gifts "money/your 'golden egg' can buy"? In days of yore (not that long ago) when the cash was gone, the reality of what a gift could be was practically faced; its limitations were pondered to reveal the most precious choice to win out over all other choices.
The gift was lovingly plucked from many options as the rest were being peeled away by necessity, always revealing the most precious of the lot.
More to the point of what mattered, was that the love of the giver was met within the eyes by the reciever as both hearts met while the anticpatory wrappings dropped away, and the gift was revealed and received. Who enjoys this type of exchange so heartwarmly today?
Let's open our minds and hearts to a well-being we can reininstate into a holiday month and beyond that we can savor for a lifetime. Let's shift our compelling motivations from money to love without guilt and enjoy the gift-giving thereof. Love
The 2015 holiday shopping season is here, and video games are showing up on many people's gifts lists. Do parents need to worry about purchasing video games for children and grandchildren? Here to help us sort through questions and concerns that may arise about various types of games is Stetson University Psychology Professor Chris Ferguson, who has conducted extensive research on whether violent video games affect youth.
