Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now. How can we create a New Leptogenic (thin) World? Why do we need to focus on that? What prompted this conversation? How do I qualify to talk about it?

My name is Denise Thomson, I am a certified transformational health and wellness coach, educator, BTR host, best selling author, former nurse and fitness trainer.

Leptogenic = thin (latin)

We live in an obesigenic world, which is the major reason why so many of us struggle with our weight, especially over the last 9 months to almost a year when so many have been staying at home to keep safe, have lost their jobs, unemployment ran out, depression, emotional eating, etc. all points that affect our mental, physical and financial health.

Why do we look at food as a soother? How long does each bite sooth our satisfaction? Then why do we eat more? Habits. Does it have to do with Willpower?

How can we align our thoughts and actions: Stop Challenge Choose, daily exercise/motion, eating regularly keeps cravings away, schedule/routine/habit,

What's in your Pantry?

What's in your Refrigerator, Freezer?

Other design thoughts in your kitchen surroundings.

Car: drive to work, stop at Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts

Restaurants: Quality and Quantity of Food, Visualize the divisions on a 9" plate. etc.

Bedroom, Healthy Surroundings: No radio, TV, clean room, 68 degrees, sleep 8 hours

What does all this information mean to you right now?

What can you reflect on?

What actions are you going to take from now on?

GIFT: Health Goal Assessment

Consider your Health a gift that keeps on giving, as long as you take excellent care of yourself.
