The Unknown Zone: Signs in the Sky

Webcams all over the earth have been picking up unusual celestial events often appearing to have 2 Suns and other anomalies.  Could it be that our Sun is actually part of a binary star system with a brown dwarf that actually has its own planets and that its orbit every few thousand years intersects with ours? 

This could explain a lot.  Namely why the earth incurs massive planetary upheavals periodically often pushing mankind back to a primitive state.  Could  it be why the weather is so wacky and earthquakes abound?  

Does the US government and other know this and only feed us dribs and drabs through syfi movies to prepare for the coming cataclysm.
