The "N" Word Reloaded

9/28/09: “The ‘N’ Word Reloaded.” It is perhaps the ugliest word in the English language and also, perhaps the most transmuted, evolving through history, while still retaining each and every meaning and form. It carries the most pain, has the worst history and yet, is used a term of endearment and remains one of the most hotly disputed terms across the entire globe. While some thought its negative usage was dying, that meaning of the word has resurfaced with a vengeance upon the election of America’s first Black President. This show will discuss the word, its many meanings, its origin and its future.
