One of the criticisms  directed at the pre-tribulation rapture view is that the rapture is not clearly mentioned very many times in Scripture. In addition, while we are told five times in Scripture that we are kept from the day of wrath, scores of other passages refer to the final physical coming of Christ. The Bible has to mention a matter only once for it to be a divine fact. We have more than enough biblical evidence that the second coming will occur in two phases. The rapture phase will take place prior to the Tribulation, when our Lord calls His church to come up to Himself. The second phase will occur seven years later, at the end of the Tribulation, when Christ comes physically to reign on the earth.
