Islamists in Mali use child soldiers to fight against Christians. According to Persecution.org, Islamic militant groups in Mali are recruiting children to fight their holy war in West Africa. The children, who live in a world of extreme poverty and hunger, have little choice but to join. Once taken in by these extremist groups, they are trained to kill in the name of Islam. Often Christians are the victims of this "holy war" and up to 200,000 people have fled Mali as these Islamic militant groups grow in power.

UK government plans to implement a national 'virtual ID card'. According to The Independent, the British government will announce details this month of a controversial national identity scheme which will allow people to use their mobile phones and social media profiles as official identification documents for accessing public services. People wishing to apply for services will be asked to choose from a list of familiar online log-ins to prove their identity. Ministers are anxious that the identity programme is not denounced as a national ID card, and it is hoped that the implementation of this program will mean the end to any prospect of a physical national ID card being introduced in the UK.
