I met Dabney at a Meet & Greet in September 2014 at a coffee house. Plus we had previously exchanged some comments back and forth in a facebook group we're both a part of.
He brought all types of books to the meet & greet to share with us. Dabney is passionate about Black Studies!!! And I could tell he sincerely cared about the people in our group, most of which are a lot younger than he and I.
Well, as time went on, I noticed that Dabney was very opinionated about certain subjects. In fact some of his comments on some of my posts and the posts in the group, would challenge the belief systems of others. Look, Dabney is that Dude that will post a comment that makes you say in your head "This Muthua Fucka". Lol!!! Real talk.
As I continued to pay attention to the content of his posts, I realized that there was an interesting story/history that cultivated his fervor for his viewpoint. And you know me. I decided to find out why. So I decided to interview Dabney to find out how he became an orphan at 3 years old and grew into the Freedom Fighter/Teacher that he is today.
