December is a time of celebration for most people; however for some it’s a time of darkness and devastation, a time where suicide seems to be the only option. Where there appears to be no choice or other solution.

Darkness, desolation, fear, hopelessness these feelings encapsulate the body, mind and soul of the individual who only sees one way out to fill the void, suicide.

Suicide is rife this time of the year, people feeling more alone than ever before, someone commits suicide every 40 seconds somewhere in the world.

Carina will be investigating this subject, with the interview of Brendon Richardson, who cut himself and attempted suicide on numerous occasions; today he is a father, husband and counsellor. His is a hero’s story.
