A small group of undergraduate students will build a live, unscripted dialogue about the contemporary issues of race, age, gender, religion, and body image--all from the perspective of and concerning the stereotypes of Appalachians. Matters at hand include several films such as The Descent and The Hills have Eyes; TV shows like The Squidbillies, Walker, Texas Ranger, and The Dukes of Hazzard; modern music--and the images the musicians project; and many others, even including Appalachians' portrayal in video games.
