CRAZY CHRISTIANS: Mental Health & the Church

Does the church support medical help for the mentally ill?  Do you ever go to church and wonder if certain people are suffering from depression?  What about paranoia, schizophrenia, mood disordersor or even a "God complex/ Nino Brown complex"? The APA (American Psychiatric Association)  states that especially in the African American community..."the mental illness stigma frequently lead African Americans to initially seek mental health support from non-medical sources." (including the CHURCH).  Some "Word of Faither's would have you believe that all you need to do is pray the blues away; or be in denial of your feelings and speak the word.  Have you ever been on the recieving end of the paranoid tirade of a church leader? We know that many folks in the IC are crazy...but could it be that some are ACTUALLY crazy?
